Dog Smart

Today we learnt about Dog Smart and how to be safe around dogs. We learned that dogs need food, water, shelter and exercise. 

We also learned to always ask before patting someone else's dog. Patting their chest is best!

One key message was, "if a dog is on its own, LEAVE IT ALONE!" 

Junior Triathlon!

We competed in the Triathlon this week! There was three different activities to choose from. We were in teams of three. One of us swam, another scooted and another ran. This was a very exciting event where we could support our house teams care, share, learn and grow!

Everyone tried their hardest and worked so well in a team. We did so well that Room 7 had both silver and goal medals presented!!! Miss Baxter was very proud of all of us!!!

Our Puzzle Art!

This week in Room 7 we have created our own puzzle art! We have each designed our own puzzle piece which explains a little bit about who we are as a person. We have put the pieces together on the wall. This reflects the idea that us altogether make up Room 7. If a piece goes missing, then our Room 7 puzzle is incomplete. There are no edge pieces which shows that there is always spaces for new students and visitors into Room 7. Please come into our classroom and see our puzzle! We think it looks great!

Welcome back to 2016!

Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone has had an amazing and relaxing holiday. I am Miss Baxter and I am teaching in Room 7 this year. It is great to be back at school. What a week so far with many exciting activities! Everyone is settling very well and we are very excited about what is to come in term one!
